An accident with a victim and injuries on AM "Trakiya", the highway is closed in both directions

The highway "Trakiya" is closed to traffic. due to a serious traffic accident that occurred around 7:51 this morning in the area of the Karnobat road junction at km 324. This was announced by the Regional Directorate (OD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas.

A car traveling in the direction of Burgas crashed on its own, crossing the dividing guardrail and stopping in the opposite lane. According to initial data, one passenger from the car died, the driver and his two female passengers were injured. The injured were taken to Burgas for medical assistance.

The entire carriageway in the direction of Sofia and partially the carriageway towards Burgas are covered in car parts and remains of the crashed car. Until the completion of the inspection and cleaning of the roadway, those traveling to Sofia will be diverted via a detour route: the Karnobat junction, the old road through the village of Venets in the direction of Sofia.

Traffic towards Burgas is very difficult, as it is carried out in one lane - the emergency lane. The road to Burgas will probably be closed later for its cleaning, and the traffic will be briefly detoured through the Karnobat-Aitos road junction, the police indicated.
