The MPs introduced a definition of "non-traditional sexual orientation". The People's Representative from " "Revival" Iskra Mihailova announced the changes as an "absolute success".
"Basically, the bill decided not to have such propaganda in schools. This was a huge achievement for "Revival". It was a difficult consensus, as this is the second consecutive National Assembly in which "Revival" introduces the bill. The author of which is Daniel Prodanov, she specified in "Day ON AIR".
"The Bulgarian citizens wanted to preserve the traditional Bulgarian family. In recent days, there has been a sharp reaction of our compatriots regarding what happened with the opening of the Olympics. By introducing this definition, we are introducing European practice. We showed that there is still normality. The texts were adopted by a majority," Mihailova commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.
"At the beginning of the National Assembly convening, we from "Revival" we proposed a thesis. There was an opportunity to seek a majority that would isolate GERB-SDS and DPS from government talks and from power. The bill didn't come out. All the talks that took place are reaching out, looking for a common language, but there is no way there will be a majority," she believes.
According to Mihailova, the date for the upcoming elections is not important, since they will be held anyway.
"This happened today thanks to the attitudes of the Bulgarian society. "Revival" was the expresser. Now let them do it in elections. Circumstances around us have changed. We also stated in this National Assembly that receiving the mandate, "Revival" is ready to offer an office immediately. We would seek support from anyone who can speak for a government," specified Mihailova, who announced that the party is already in talks with some of the parties in the European Parliament (EP) to renegotiate the terms of the Green Deal.
