„When it becomes a word about the man Donald Trump, he is overwhelmingly negatively evaluated in American society. On the other hand, however, if we look at Donald Trump's policies, we see the exact opposite, that they are rather liked by American citizens.“
This is what political scientist and international analyst Dr. Martin Tabakov told Euronews Bulgaria.
According to him, Americans have to decide whether to say to themselves that the man Donald Trump does not deserve to lead the White House or that his policies rather make sense and that they should give him confidence.
The analyst also commented on the situation in the Middle East. According to Tabakov, the official elevation of Yahya Sinwar as the leader of Hamas will be one of the factors that will make the peace negotiations between the group and Israel more complicated.
„One of the major consequences of the elimination of Ismail Haniya was that it hindered US diplomatic efforts to achieve at least some temporary truce between Hamas and Israel. After the elimination of the subject in question, it is much more difficult to imagine what will be the motivation of Hamas, already controlled and in practice by people close to the military weight of this formation, to sit down to negotiate,“, the analyst pointed out.
