Hundreds of guests at a hotel in Australia were evacuated after a helicopter fell on its roof, Reuters reported, citing from BTA.
The tragedy took place at around 2 am local time today at the "Hilton Double Three" hotel. in the northern city of Cairns, considered the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
The tourists in the hotel were evacuated as a precaution. A fire broke out on the roof of the building. One of the helicopter's blades fell into the hotel pool.
The pilot of the machine died in the accident, adds France Press. He was alone in the helicopter.
The causes of the accident are not reported.
