The co-chairman of "Continuing the Change" Kiril Petkov published a post on Facebook in which he stated that the police protest announced for today was organized by the chairman of the DPS, Delyan Peevski, FOCUS reported.
According to Petkov, the reason for this is the possibility that the current acting interior minister Kalin Stoyanov will not keep his post in the next official cabinet of Gorica Kožareva.
"If they do not appoint Kalin Stoyanov, Atanas Ilkov or Stoyan Temelakiev as the next Minister of the Interior, Peevski will not be able to secure representation in the next parliament in the way he is familiar with,'' Kiril Petkov states.
The co-chairman of the PP claims that the SDVR sends special messages to the police officers.
According to Petkov, what is happening is a "crude attempt to influence the new prime minister in choosing the next minister".
"This is absolutely ILLEGAL and it is dangerous for politicians to play with the state's repressive apparatus," he is categorical.
