A 10-year-old boy from Simeonovgrad drowned in the waters of the Maritsa river, and rescue teams from the fire department and police officers continued to search for him until late last night, reported "Maritsa".
The incident happened yesterday around 15:00.
The boy, together with his friends from the wrestling team, went to bathe in the river. Suddenly, however, a current dragged him and he began to sink.
Another child came to his aid, but was unable to save him.
