Teodora Yovcheva: Peevski will not give in easily - 1

"I am not sure that the two camps are equal on the electoral ground. It seems to me that the group headed by Delyan Peevski has two problems - the ethnic origin and the image problem. The more authentic group is the one around Dogan, it could be more successful."

This is how the political scientist Dr. Teodora Yovcheva commented on the air of Euronews Bulgaria the decision of the honorary leader of the DPS Ahmed Dogan and his associates to exclude Delyan Peevski and seven more of his associates from the party.

According to Yovcheva, however, Peevski is "ready to enter into battles" and it will not be given so easily. "Whether there are resources for this is difficult for me to answer, but there is a deficit in other areas, a very decisive battle is ahead in the DPS," she believes.

In her words, what is happening in the circles of the DPS and the splitting of the party before the next early parliamentary elections, which will be held at the end of October, "will be a test as a whole, how institutionalized our system is and can deal with these problems".

According to the journalist Ilhan Henday, "since yesterday, we actually have a fake news about the CSO taking place, because there is no quorum. DPS is going to elections with two chairmen who will have to register their lists. Everything will fall on the shoulders of the CEC and the dispute will go to court in the end. In all probability, the two camps will participate in the elections as coalitions.

In Henday's opinion "closer to the abbreviation "DPS" is Delyan Peevski. Last night we heard top news - the war declared by Dogan himself. "The DPS brand brings a lot, people in the municipal centers want to get what they have been getting in recent years. It is possible to get out of this isolation in which the movement has been for the last 15 years, things are "fifty-fifty", with Dogan having a slight advantage," he pointed out.
