Joy and tears on “Positano 20”. Happy were the 105 socialists who voted for the exclusion of Cornelia Ninova, Ivan Chenchev, Georgi Svilenski and Krum Donchev from the BSP, bTV reported.
However, there was sadness in the gathered protesters in support of Cornelia Ninova, who spent the day in front of the BSP headquarters.
Various comments were heard – from “today is a good day for BSP“ to “to whom are you leaving us, comrade, Ninova“.
The day started with posters from the camp against Cornelia Ninova and a counterattack from her supporters.
„Please calm down, let there be no tension. Now I'm waiting for them to see if these rabbit hearts gathered the courage to make this move as well”, said Ninova.
Five hours later the move was a fact – Cornelia Ninova and three other socialists parted with their party cards.
„We left them inside to fall into the trap themselves”, said Georgi Svilenski.
“This will be a good lesson for people who allow themselves to put themselves above the party, to treat the party as a father. The topic is exhausted, there are no emotions in this matter”, said Atanas Zafirov.
However, the topic of who will register the BSP to participate in the vote has not yet been exhausted.
“There is no need to race and compete. Other people don't have the current status. I have given a power of attorney to Georgi Svilenski and Ivan Chenchev, from now on they will deal with registration, lists”, said Kornelia Ninova.
Svilenski said that from now on they start collecting signatures for party registration.
„I appeal to all Bulgarian socialists to be aware that any participation in signatures, lists and everything else by people excluded from the party will be considered a provocation of the party”, warned Atanas Zafirov.
It is still not clear whether Kornelia Ninova will appeal the decision of her former party members, and her former colleagues are looking at other partners and a broad left alliance. On Tuesday, the BSP will form a coalition with another 20 parties and formations.
