The deadline for registration of parties in the CEC continues - 1

The deadline for registration of parties and coalitions in the Central Election Commission for the early parliamentary vote on October 27, NOVA reported.

Same as yesterday, the start time is 9:30 am. Due to an unprecedented situation and tension between the separated party members from the DPS, it was not observed yesterday. Although they have been waiting for this since Friday - the first registration happened in the afternoon.

So that there would be no dispute as to which of the two new coalitions from the until recently DPS is the first, the commission decided to accept the documents of both parties in parallel. So registered are the coalition "Democracy, rights and freedoms" DPS”, formed around Ahmed Dogan, and coalition “DPS - New beginning” of Delyan Peevski.

„Documents were accepted that were entered without a number, with the same date and time. This followed an unprecedented meeting of the CEC, at which it was decided to accept the documents of the two coalitions. Hence, the CEC should examine in detail the documents of the two coalitions. If they are in order, he must decide how to register the coalitions, since we are facing a case study - both coalitions have the name and brand DPS in their name, and this is not allowed by the Election Code. DPS should be present in one of the two names.

Whatever the CEC decides, the final decision will be the court”, Tsvetelina Peneva from the Public Council of the CEC told NOVA.

There is an unprecedented situation in the BSP in recent days. After Cornelia Ninova was removed as chairperson from the National Council - the questions arose as to who and how will register the socialist party before the Central Election Commission. Ninova gave his credentials to Georgi Svilenski and Ivan Chenchev, who were also removed from the party.

Internal party opponents of Ninova said that they are waiting for a decision of the Supreme Court of Cassation on the situation.

From “Yes, Bulgaria” decide whether they will remain in coalition with “We continue the change” and “Democratic Bulgaria” for the October elections.

After a resolution was passed by the party's national council, the coalition partners had to hold talks and discuss what their political goals are and whether they share a common vision and strategy.
