On September 6, 1885, Bulgaria showed that there cannot be an artificially defined border between Bulgarians! Today we strive to remove the last border artificially separating us from the European Union. This was written by acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

Today we celebrate the 139th anniversary of the Unification of Bulgaria. On this day in 1885, the Bulgarian people committed one of the most remarkable deeds in their recent history. The Unification of Bulgaria is the de facto unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia in 1885.
