Rumen Petkov: We are a killer country. Our pilots have 30 flight hours per year. And they had 250 to 300 - 1

< strong>We have pilots that we can be proud of, but there is no country that takes care of their training and construction. Rumen Petkov, leader of the ABV party, said this to BNR.

Petkov commented on the plane crash at "Graf Ignatievo" airport, in which two Bulgarian pilots died. The Military Prosecutor's Office announced that they are working on three versions in order to establish the cause of it – human error, technical malfunction, or incorrectly set command.

In 2019, Rumen Petkov filed a report with the prosecutor's office because of doubts about the provision of reliable and safe parts for our planes.

"The signal remained without consequences. A Bulgarian intermediary is used to outsource the repair of the aircraft to a company that is unlicensed. This delayed finding repair solutions for a long time. Unfortunately, the delay caused damage to the Air Force.

We are a killer country. Our pilots have 30 flight hours per year. Assuming they had 250 to 300.

I appeal to the military prosecutor to go back in time and see how the first order was conducted, the delay – for what reasons, who is personally to blame and why we signed a contract for aircraft F – 16, we paid 3 billion and we still don't get it.
He also commented on the process of consolidation in the left political space in our country.

"We propose the policies and then we look for people to implement them. We lost time, but I hope that each of us will continue to walk the path of consolidation of the entire community.
In recent years, I have been very disturbed by this type of insinuation, which usually starts two months before the elections – these will enter, those will not. Many people get demotivated. Vote and don't give in to suggestions!"

Discussions with whom one can enter the administration are too premature, explained Petkov.

"The more important conversation is why and for what".

He still pointed out that "GERD in this form is a difficult formation for anyone who would like to show the will to implement a policy in the name of the public interest". p>
