A 32-year-old man from Gabrovo has been detained in connection with the fire near the "Kavatsi" campsite. in Sozopol. This was announced by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas, BTA reports. He was detained for 24 hours.
The fire broke out around 2.30pm on Saturday. The fire has covered nearly 465 acres of dry grasses and bushes, of which 50 acres are mixed forest. Three more bungalows owned by Hunting Forestry, a building used for a canteen located near the bungalows, an outbuilding in the area of the cemetery park, as well as the roof of a newly built massive house located near a hypermarket in the area were burned.< br />
The fire was extinguished by nine fire engines and over 20 firefighters. Municipal equipment and volunteers also got involved. The value of the damage caused by the fire is in the process of being clarified.
