Trump's support is falling among most demographic groups - 1

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump takes part in rally in Wisconsin, one of the swing states that could decide the outcome of the election, trying to consolidate the support of a key part of white voters from working-class and rural areas, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

The agency noted that support for the former president has been declining among most demographic groups since his Democratic rival in the Nov. 5 election, Kamala Harris, replaced President Joe Biden over the summer as the Democratic presidential nominee.

Trump will speak in Moussini, a town of about 4,500 people located not far from Wausau, a small city of about 40,000 people located an hour's drive from Milwaukee and Madison, the Wisconsin state capital. Marathon County, home to Moussini, is a politically swing district that voted for Democratic nominee Barack Obama in 2008. Since then, the district has swung to the right, favoring Trump in 2016 and 2020 — both times by about 18 point lead.

Nationally, Harris leads Trump among Hispanic voters by 13 points and has increased her support among black Americans, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos data since August, but has made little progress among white voters, the same poll shows.

White voters without a college degree have long been a key part of Trump's coalition and still favor the former president by 25 points, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll. They supported Trump by 29 points when he was running against Biden.

That relative resilience among white voters could benefit Trump, and several of his advisers and allies have told Reuters in recent weeks that maintaining his edge in that demographic will be critical if he is to beat Harris.
