Krasimir Karakachanov: The military is not to blame - 1

the loss of Major Petko Dimitrov and Senior Lieutenant Vencislav Dunkin, the question is what led to the tragic accident of "Count Ignatievo" still remains without an official answer.

"Why out of 13 planes fly only 4 of the L-39 - our training and combat planes. It's not the military's fault, it's the politicians' fault. The military, when the leakage of an aircraft approaches, promptly informs the Defense Headquarters, from there - the Minister of Defense. He is the one who should provide the necessary funds for the army to maintain the equipment", commented the leader of the Military Defense Forces and former Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov in the program "The Day ON AIR".

In his words, the ministers are executors of foreign-party political orders. He is of the opinion that we should first provide for our own army, and if we have anything extra - sell it and put it back into our army.

"He who feeds foreign armies - buries his own army. We found 80 million BGN for Ukraine to give them as a gift, to fight a war that has nothing to do with us, but we cannot find 20 million BGN to maintain our jet training and combat aviation," Karakachanov told Bulgaria ON AIR.

He suggests that it may have been a technical malfunction that caused the plane crash. Karakachanov can see from the footage that the pilots were flying at a low altitude, far below the limit.

"A plane traveling at 500 km/h at such a low altitude limit - it's about fractions of a second that lead to fatal consequences. I don't want to believe that someone gave the order to take this risk," the VMRO leader pointed out.
