The Supreme Administrative Court will sit in the case against the dismissal of Andrey Gyurov from the post of deputy governor of the BNB, reported BNT.
At the previous hearing in early August, he requested the recusal of the chairman of the court panel. Judge Georgi Cholakov is also the chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court, which hears the case. Among Gyurov's motives is the violation of the principle of random allocation of cases and doubts about the impartiality of the decision, he explained. The Supreme Administrative Court accepted as unfounded the request of Gyurov to disqualify Cholakov.
In mid-July, the Board of the BNB decided that Andrey Gyurov should be released, due to a decision of the anti-corruption commission, according to which he cannot be a deputy governor, having participated in a commercial company and a political party.
