A car with two adults and two children got stuck in the Petrohan area, near the village of Gintsi last night. This was reported by the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross, quoted by BTA.
After the report of the incident, the Ministry of Interior requested help from the mountain rescuers, and the operation to evacuate the people has already ended.
The MES added that the conditions for tourism in the mountains are poor. A lot of new snow has fallen, which is over a meter in the higher parts. There is also a high risk of avalanches.
There is also fog in many places in the Balkan Mountains.
