This was commented on bTV by former Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov.
„They performed a complex exercise – loops. These are experienced pilots. Major Dimitrov is a man with over 1,800 hours in the air. When you're an experienced pilot, you think you know the machine. Sometimes you allow yourself to take risks. Sometimes these risks lead to tragic accidents”, Karakachanov pointed out.
He admitted that the flying hours required for a pilot to become proficient were insufficient.
"One of the versions about the plane crash of “Count Ignatievo“ is a technical malfunction, and the other is flying the plane at a very low altitude, in which one second is fatal", commented Karakachanov.
„Imagine a plane flying 250 m at a speed of 500 km/h - that's literally a second or two before it crashes. A slight distraction or some slight damage to the aircraft can cause an accident like this," he added.
According to him, at low altitude, the catapult also does not work, since at that moment the pilot does not have time to react.
