The caretaker government will hold its regular weekly meeting on Wednesday, the press service of the Council of Ministers announced, dariknews.bg reported.
The agenda of the meeting envisages that the cabinet will discuss and adopt a draft decision to amend the Program for compensation of the costs of non-domestic end customers for electricity for the period from July 1 to December 31, 2024, adopted by Decision No. 546 of the Council of Ministers of 2024 d. The proposer of the proposal is the Minister of Energy.
The government is expected to discuss more additional expenses under the budget of the Council of Ministers for 2024, as well as under the budgets of several ministries - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture. Additional transfers to the municipal budgets are also expected to be approved.
Approval of a draft of the Law amending the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2024 is also part of the agenda of the government meeting.
The Prime Minister and the ministers are yet to discuss a draft decision on granting a derogation under Council Regulation (EU) No. 833/2014 of July 31, 2014 regarding restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.
