„For such an offensive qualification in a European country, the head of a minister is taken immediately, immediately and on the spot, resignations fly. We can draw conclusions about next steps when we see the reaction of the government in Skopje," GERB-SDS deputy Daniel Mitov told journalists.
His comment is about the words of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of North Macedonia, Alexander Nikoloski, who in a TV interview called the Bulgarians “miserables” and declared that Bulgarians and Macedonians have no common history, nor common roots.
According to GERB, there is an escalation in Skopje's rhetoric and RSM is speaking in an “indecent manner”.
„A government minister in a European country has no right to use such words not only in relation to a neighbor, but to any other European country or European people”, Mitov said.
„Obviously, this is another provocation by the authorities in the Republic of North Macedonia, aimed at destroying good neighborly relations and what has been achieved so far. Of course, the Bulgarian authorities must respond as firmly as possible and without emotions and overreaction," added Daniel Mitov.
In his words, it is very important for Bulgaria what will be the reaction of the Prime Minister of the RSM and the government.
