"The recordings from the black box are taken down after each flight and analyzed practically immediately after it, or at least after the flight shift is over. Each of our air bases has such means. After it was initially announced that it had been discovered and was in good technical condition, I don't see any problem with this data being downloaded and analyzed here," said the former Minister of Defense Prof. Todor Tagarev in the studio of "Denyat ON" AIR".
He stressed that the black box recordings and other data must be fully analyzed to determine the causes of the incident. However, there are doubts about the timeliness and quality of the investigation, with Tagarev noting that such investigations are often delayed and ultimately fail to establish responsibility or trigger adequate measures to prevent future incidents.
"What is most troubling to me is that a culture has become established in our Air Force where, firstly, taking such flights at a higher risk than appropriate is encouraged in such a way, due to the lack of training, and subsequently, when an accident happened, no responsibility is sought from anyone", said Prof. Tagarev for Bulgaria ON AIR.
He said the Air Force should focus on improving organizational culture, including pilot training and preparation, to prevent future incidents. Tagarev emphasizes that plans for demonstration flights must be carefully planned and implemented with special attention to safety.
"The possibility of a technical failure should be ruled out and from there the problems should be looked for in the organization of the preparation, in the planning of this demonstration flight, in the management of this flight and ultimately in the execution," commented Prof. Tagarev.< /p>
