Supplying drugs is not an easy process, and it is by no means safe. That's why pharmacists study for 5 and a half years, that's why there are heavy regulations regarding pharmacies and what requirements they have to meet. Before you are given the medicine, a master pharmacist enters with an electronic signature and verifies the medicine.
The chairman of the Association of Pharmacy Owners Nikolay Kostov warned about this in the studio of "Bulgaria in the morning".
He recalled that the problem with pharmacists is big.
"There is a claim that pharmacies are not distributed properly, but pharmacies follow people. Where there are people, there are pharmacies. We are trying to fight the consequences of the demographic crisis, and we had to fight before with political decisions. And this is currently not a solution, it is bad for people's health. Children can also get hurt. The fact that only 2% of the population has very difficult access to medicines is a good result", stressed Nikolay Kostov.
According to him, lobbyist interests are behind this proposal.
Kostov explained that the problem with the shortage of medicines continues, and that with insulin is getting worse.
"There are permanent deficits in many groups of medicines - nervous system, oncology... Hopefully the new parliament will change the situation,", he concluded.
Nikolay Kostov said that there are about 40 positions in the machines.
"In them there are cosmetics, supplements, medical products, there are about 20 medicines. For example, you need ear drops, do you think you will find them inside and can't one buy that much in advance? The right way is not in devices that do not give anything, but in stimulating the development of pharmacies.
There cannot be a pharmacy in every settlement. Recently, there is a mechanism that stimulates the development of pharmacies in small and hard-to-reach places. And there is already some result", commented the chairman of the Association of Pharmacy Owners.
