The Sofia organization of the BSP has nominated Prof. Nataliya Kiselova and Evgeni Minchev for MPs. This became clear during the visit of the deputy chairman of the PG of the BSP, Ivan Ivanov, in the program “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov”.
„Whether Mr. Minchev will be part of the lists is his decision. Yes, there was such a proposal, it was presented by representatives of the Sofia organization. I cannot answer whether he is familiar with it, whether he will give his consent to participate,”, said Ivan Ivanov. He confirmed that it was the 23rd MIR.
„I'm glad that Mrs. Kiselova agreed, at least that's what I heard this morning from the secretary of the party in another show,” said Ivan Ivanov.
When asked about Sergey Stanishev and whether he will be a candidate for deputy, Ivanov said: “We have a coalition agreement, where it was decided that the final word on the arrangement of the lists rests with the BSP National Council. The procedure is quite complex and democratic. Nominations start from the bottom, reach the Executive Bureau, and the National Council approves”.
Yesterday they held a meeting of the National Council of the BSP, at which a program of 100 points was adopted and the leaders of the lists became clear.
„Yesterday was the final stage of the great left unification. After the signing of the memorandum and the preparation of the campaign company, the road is one – consolidation of the left”, said Ivanov.
„What we saw in the last elections is frightening and affects not only the BSP and the left space, but also the entire state system. In a world where there are weak left parties, the state is going nowhere. Bulgaria is no exception and for 4 years we have been wandering in timelessness. This united left is the real alternative to the right-wing government, which got us into this political deadlock,”, Ivanov said.
