The government has extended the term of the contract for the storage of the voting machines

The case with the storage of the machines for the elections has been resolved.

The government has adopted a decision extending the storage period of machine voting devices in a rented warehouse to no more than three years, starting from October 1, 2024.

The Minister of Finance will provide the necessary funds for the financial provision of the decision.

For its part, the CEC should conclude the relevant contracts for renting a room for the storage of the machine voting devices.

Last week, the Central Electoral Commission reported that the lease of the warehouse, where 12,837 machines are stored, expired at the end of July.

The owner of the warehouse warned that without a new contract after the end of September, he will not guarantee the storage of the machines.
