The first 89 Bulgarians evacuated from Lebanon successfully returned to Bulgaria on the government plane. The rescue operation was carried out because of the growing tension in the region.
Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev announced upon the arrival of the flight that a second one was being prepared to evacuate around 80 more people. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova announced that about 400 Bulgarians live in Lebanon, but not all of them have expressed a desire to evacuate, NOVA reported.
