Valentin Tanev: And now who will be hired to become a theater director?! - 1

"It is very unpleasant, especially in a situation where so many people from our field they work honestly, normally. We play in the evening, there is a lot of audience in the salons. I hope it does not affect the audience, that it does not withdraw from the salons. I follow everything closely. One should not act hastily, nervously. Yes, there is distortion, but it has always been there".

This was commented by the actor Valentin Tanev in the show "The Day ON AIR".

According to him, all directors of theaters know very well what the steps are for approving a budget.

"With us, the money for one suitcase is approved by the Ministry of Finance. In order to receive my fee, it must be approved by the Ministry of Culture," Tanev gave an example to Bulgaria ON AIR.

"This situation is also an opportunity - to change the system, but carefully, not in a manifest way. It is most important to analyze each stage institute. Each institute works in different conditions. The problems occur in two theaters, both in problem regions. How will these people in Smolyan save their theater? A savior appears and fixes them. Then one will wash the towel. God grant that people with patience, stubbornness and character can be found to do this thing", explained the actor.

Tanev noted that the number of viewers has increased annually by 20% over the past 10 years.

"Until now, there have not been so many audiences in theaters and concert halls. Do we realize it? So there is something good in this system as well. What is struggling in the Ministry of Culture is a system from before November 10. In Smolyan, people are trembling, they cannot make ends meet, it is a difficult region. Who from now on will hire to become a director, wherever he is?", Tanev asked.
