After the arrests of the Ministry of Internal Affairs officials, including a police chief in Petrich, it should become clear how many of them will be charged and whether they will remain behind bars for up to 72 hours, NOVA reported.
On the case, pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office for an organized criminal group. According to the state indictment, from April to November of this year, uniformed persons participated in corruption crimes, crimes against justice, distribution of narcotic substances and money laundering.
For 24 hours, the head of the police department in Petrich, Borislav Getsev, was detained.
