"9-10 years is the lower limit for the pubertal development of a woman. This means that the girl got pregnant in her first period. The reproductive system is in its earliest stage of development, the organs are small. Mechanically it's a problem, but emotionally – even bigger", the specialist pointed out.

According to her, the relatives of pregnant girls between the ages of 10 and 14 find out about their condition very late, because "they have no awareness of the physiological changes that occur in their bodies". "They cannot register the pregnancy and it is often the result of adverse events such as rape by someone close or known to the girl. They often develop anemia and hypertension," she said and pointed out that there are many cases of young girls dying during pregnancy.
