The sanitary cordon is a political issue. The principle in the EP is very simple – rights are not limited. For this reason, two groups – Patriots for Europe and Europe of Sovereign Nations have no representatives in the governing bodies of the EP and their proposals are not accepted by the other political groups. This was stated by MEP Radan Kanev from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) in the show “Face to Face” on BTV.
There is a desire to put DPS-New Beginning and specifically Delyan Peevski in some isolation. We should not limit the rights of a political formation with rules and laws. Colleagues in the National Assembly can judge, said MEP Christian Vigenin from the "BSP for Bulgaria".
The decision of the PP-DB does not show constructive, but destructive moves, commented MEP Emil Radev from GERB.
Kanev added that “Revival” it should be placed in isolation in the first place. “Revival of Delyan Peevski together have less than 1/3 of the people's representatives. Nobody needs them to run this country well. These parties are not needed. “Revival” defends categorically anti-European positions. As for Peevski, things are deeply wrong. Tying up with this political power will very badly destroy the confidence in the biggest political power and make a series of reforms completely impossible.
„Moderate pro-European forces do not feel comfortable in a situation where more extreme forces are gaining the upper hand. We must also be very careful about domestic politics. We have to see what is the reason for such type of parties to grow stronger. I don't agree that we have to swallow everything in order to have a commission, Vigenin stressed.
He pointed out that with the proposal of Assoc. Kiselova for the Speaker of the National Assembly, we are not proposing a future Prime Minister, but an effective Speaker of the Parliament. For the future, we will rather move towards a broadly supported government. If this does not happen – we will go to new elections.
Emil Radev pointed out that “in the EP, many important decisions for Bulgaria are coming – admission to Schengen, the Eurozone, PMU. We are not considered alive at the moment in the EU”, he explained.
„We cannot regularly participate in European politics because there is no one, announced Kanev. “Since we are not full-fledged in our internal politics, how can we be full-fledged outside, where more serious political skills are required? There can be no progress, no solution, when there are no negotiations between the political forces. The huge responsibility here lies with the first political force. From now on, the way the negotiation process will proceed depends on the political force that will receive the first mandate, Radan Kanev stressed.
„There is no way we can start any negotiations when red lines are drawn in the first place. The second political force obviously does not want to have a government”, Emil Radev answered him.
