The right to life should be the highest -higher than all other rights. This was stated by Diana Rusinova, chairperson of the "European Center for Transport Policies" association, during the road safety discussion held at the Court House.
The topic of the round table is: “The fight against drunk driving and confiscation of vehicles. Effective measures against drunk driving and legal sanctions and consequences”, organized by the European Center for Transport Policies and the Association “Angels on the Road”.
This problem affects us all. Nobody has a guarantee that, leaving this building, he will not become a victim of a traffic accident, Rusinova pointed out. According to her, statistics show that anyone can get into an accident on the road.
She recalled the case of 14-year-old Philip, who died on a footpath meters from the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sofia.
Who will stand up for the life of Philip and the other Bulgarian children swept along the road, she asked. Diana Rusinova thanked all the representatives of institutions and experts who participated in today's discussion. Among them are i.f. chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, the chairman of the State Agency “Road Traffic Safety” Malina Krumova, the head of the “Traffic Police” in Sofia, Nikolay Krusharski and other representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, former and current representatives of the people involved in the topic and other experts and representatives of institutions related to the topic of road safety.
