Electrohold equips an electrical engineering classroom at the Vocational High School of Mechano-Electrical Engineering - - 1

Electrohold has opened an electrical engineering classroom at the Vocational High School of Mechano-Electrical Engineering - Pleven.

The modern equipment will allow students to become familiar with the practical aspects of managing and maintaining the electricity distribution network, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in the field. The opening was attended by Valentin Hristov, Mayor of Pleven, Viktor Stanchev, Chief Operating Officer of ERM Zapad, part of the Electrohold group, Tsvetelina Stoykova, director of the high school, students and teachers.

„Energy is a dynamically developing sector that is looking for young and motivated specialists. We hope that through the partnership with the high school we will inspire more students from Pleven and the region to choose electrical engineering as their profession. All of them are welcome to join us to build the energy sector of the future together“, said Viktor Stanchev.

“Pleven is developing economically, our goal is to attract more and more companies as investors. We expect the need for such specialists - electricians and electrical engineers - to grow. It is important that the business is already in schools and vocational high schools. This is a really good initiative and I hope it continues to develop further“, said Mayor Valentin Hristov.

Electrohold's initiative to equip electrical engineering classrooms was launched in 2021. In addition to Pleven, the company has so far equipped classrooms in schools in Pernik, Dupnitsa and Vidin.

Electrohold is developing a long-term strategy to support and promote vocational education and the development of qualified personnel for the Bulgarian power industry. For ten years now, the company has been providing scholarships in the "Energy for the Future" competition. The company is one of the first to join the dual training in electrical engineering in Bulgaria.
