Hristo Prodanov: GERB and BSP agreed on a cabinet?! This is like making an agreement with the wolf to protect the lamb

“There must be a government, but it must not be what Borisov and Peevski have planned for us. Because a government in which they are the two leading factors is harmful to Bulgaria“.
This was stated by the long-time BSP MP and former Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov in the program “Delnici“ on Eurocom.
In his words, something that is conceived with sin cannot have a long life. Even if they make some kind of assembly – they wouldn't last long, because people simply won't accept it.
“GERB and BSP had agreed on an anti-corruption government, we found out from a statement after their meeting. What is this? You set out to form an anti-corruption government with the fathers of corruption. This is like making an agreement with the wolf, together guarding the lamb“, reacted Prodanov. And in response to a question in the studio whether he defines the election of the speaker of parliament as a success for the BSP, he said:
“This is a story for the naive“. He recalled 2017 and Borisov's proposal for Kornelia Ninova to become the speaker of parliament, and for the BSP to be in the government: “Then we weren't praying to Borisov, but Borisov was praying to have such a government and we have a speaker of parliament. And here the difference is whether you are dependent, subordinate, whether you can betray or sell your voters or after you have gone to parliament, you stand up for what they elected you for. Therefore - the honest, moral, correct attitude towards the voters of the BSP is for the BSP not to enter into a government with GERB, "said Hristo Prodanov.
On the occasion of Viktor Orban's upcoming visit to our country and in the conversation about European politicians, Hristo Prodanov said: "Orban remained one of the few European politicians who defends the national interest of his country and does not bend to the pressure of Brussels and to "bosses". Politicians in Bulgaria should be like that in order to lift our country from the bottom we are in. Ninova is such a politician. Because she was beaten from the left, from the right, by foreigners, by her own people, but she did not bend, did not surrender and did not sell herself. "I have never been from BSP-New Beginning," Hristo Prodanov reacted immediately after the host recalled his words from a previous interview "This BSP is no longer my BSP." And he added: "No one has ever dared to call the socialist party - "BSP-New Beginning." While now, more and more people are saying it, because it is more than obvious that those who removed Kornelia Ninova and carried out the coup with the help of Peevski and Borisov are extremely dependent on them. Now, they will have to return the favor by doing what Peevski and Borisov tell them," said Hristo Prodanov. And in response to a question in the studio, he added: "At the congress, they will cancel the direct election. They will even take away this from the socialists – to have the right to elect their own chairman“.
In the conversation about the new political actions that Kornelia Ninova announced, Prodanov said: “My opinion is that she is obliged to take this step. I will emphasize it again – she turned out to be the only one that Borisov and Peevski could not subdue“.
