Glavchev: EU must demonstrate unity on the issue with Ukraine - 1

I have no concerns about the agreement with Ukraine. My request for coordination with the National Assembly is due to the 10-year term of the document. I do not understand how it can be concluded that this was done to fail the negotiations for a regular government. If there is a person who wants a regular government the most, it is me. This was stated by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev to journalists in Brussels. The Prime Minister expressed hope that the members of parliament will state a position on the agreement with Ukraine so that I can sign it.

The Prime Minister was categorical that the European Union must demonstrate unity on the issue with Ukraine and the Bulgarian position remains unchanged. The assistance will be provided for as long as necessary and will be comprehensive in order to achieve a just and lasting peace that will guarantee the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, as well as everything written in the UN Charter and international law, Glavchev added.

When asked by the media, the Prime Minister stated that there was no question of introducing control on the border with Greece. There are procedures that must be started one after the other, you see, no such procedure has been started, Glavchev pointed out.

On the topic of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Prime Minister confirmed that Bulgaria's position remains unchanged. According to the Prime Minister, the sharpness of the statement by North Macedonia should be reduced. Let's start with the good European tone that should be applied between an EU member state and a candidate for EU membership, Glavchev added.
