The driver of trolleybus 2 with number 1658 in the capital is driving passengers in the dark, refusing to open the doors for them to get off. When asked to stop, he replies that they will get off at the depot. This is what Sofia Atanascheva tells in the Facebook group “Za Oborishte“.
She points out that one case is from last year, and the last one - from January 29, and the main character in it is her friend.
“Around 10 p.m., my close friend and another girl boarded trolleybus No. 2 at the stop on “Praga” Blvd. in the direction of “Hadji Dimitar” with the intention of getting off at the stop at Sofia University. Without announcing it, before the stop the driver turned off the lights in the cabin and took off on “Tsarigradsko Shose”. The two passengers saw a sign that the trolleybus was going to a garage. Then they went to the driver, thinking that he had not seen them, and asked him to stop, but he ignored them”, writes Atanascheva and specified that he stopped at the stops, but did not open the doors, writes "Telegraph".
According to her friend, the driver looked inadequate and dangerous, as if he was in some kind of manic episode.
“They called 112, and when he stopped at the stops, they knocked on the windows and shouted for help to the people standing at the stop. There was a girl who filmed them at one of the stops, and a boy even started running after the trolleybus”, she also says.
During the horror for the two women, the driver realized that they had called 112 and then told them: "You'll see, I'll take you to the depot!". Still, one of the women managed to convince him to let them go and at the "4th kilometer" stop they got out of the vehicle. Then the driver turned on the lights in the cabin and continued towards "Druzhba".
The Sofia Municipality was notified of the cases, and an investigation was launched from there. They commented that they would check the video recordings, as well as that they would request written explanations from the driver. A signal has been received in the 7th District, which is also being worked on and action must be taken.
