Bozhidar Bozhanov: This is how Borisov imagines governance – picking up the phone and "he called me, he said so and I gave it" - 1

The protest of the public transport in Sofia is political, because the people who lead it are political figures – a municipal councilor from the BSP, a municipal councilor from GERB, and also there were political demands at the protest, such as the resignation of the mayor. This was said in the program "Face to Face" on BTV, the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov.

This is certainly not a strike - strikes do not block depots, there is a corresponding order for them to be carried out and the entire public transport is not stopped. This was sabotage. This approach of asking one group by one for someone to give money is wrong. There should be a systematic assessment and not to prioritize sectors over each other, as GERB does, said Bozanov.

The goal of the protest was clearly to undermine trust in the municipality's governance. What Borisov and his co. did not consider were the matriculation exams. Their possible failure would fall on the government, so Borisov gathered ministers and demanded these 15 million leva. The other thing that tipped the scales was yesterday's protest. In order to avoid the spread of discontent, Borisov made this move, the co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria" pointed out.

This is how Borisov imagines governance - picking up the phone and "he called me, he said so and I gave". However, this is not how systemic problems are solved. These companies have 700 employees, this needs to be reformed, there needs to be an optimization plan, Bozhidar Bozanov added.

The economic majority in the Municipal Council - GERB, BSP and "There is such a people" appointed the management of these companies without competitions. They see management as distributing money, and we see it from a more right-wing angle. We demanded the resignations of all these directors, because they clearly have not done their job. But this is unlikely to change the desire of the ruling majority to appoint people, he noted.

In this situation, the mayor behaved correctly, with dignity and reason, he proposed right-wing solutions - that money should be given only to professions in which there is a shortage. After the firm position of the mayor, Borisov ended the strike, which he directly or indirectly started, Bozanov commented.

In the words of the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" the 15 million leva allocated by the government will not solve the problem with public transport in Sofia: "This is a one-time action that covers up the current problems. This money will probably not be allocated next year. The right-wing measures are permanent restructuring and optimization. There must be a better balance so that the problems can be solved more permanently".

In response to a question whether the support of "Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria" for Bulgaria's membership in the eurozone brings them closer to GERB – UDF and "DPS – New Beginning", Bozhidar Bozhanov said: "The majority for entering the eurozone has been our priority for a long time. The fact that we have similarities on this specific topic is not a surprise to our voters, but we can hardly speak of any other similarities. With our actions, we are quite clearly outlined as the opposition".

This government will fall when Peevski decides. This is the huge problem of GERB and their partners BSP and "There are such people", Bozanov also said.
