After a six-day strike, the ground public transport resumed work, the demands of the workers remain unfulfilled for the most part.
"In addition to increasing wages, there were also over 30 points for improving working conditions. Before the beginning of the year, we warned about accumulated social tension. The Labor Code states that work can be interrupted under conditions that are dangerous to his health - you saw the conditions under which they work. They have the right to healthy and safe working conditions,", said the chairman of the transport union at the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions Alexander Shopov in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".
According to him, the unification of transport companies will not lead to layoffs and improvement of conditions.
For the protesters, it was important that the money did not go through a bonus system, because they would not be sure income every month. On the air of Bulgaria ON AIR, the trade unionist pointed out that the workers and employees, as well as the administration, have been at their workplaces for the last 6 days and should receive their salaries.
"The blockade was of people who are not at work according to the schedule. They should receive their basic wages, without bonuses. We have collected over 51% of signatures of employees to start an effective strike. If someone thinks that he promised something that he will not fulfill - he is deeply mistaken", emphasized Alexander Shopov.
