Boyko Borisov: Next year, Bulgarians should feel the benefits of the eurozone. A huge amount of work lies ahead - 1

GERB leader Boyko Borisov made a comment to journalists before the release of the convergence report.

"God grant that the report will be positive. Bulgaria has done everything it had to, and for several years in a row. Today we only have a convergence report, which will broadcast what Bulgaria has done. July 8 is the date on which all colleagues in Brussels will decide whether Bulgaria will enter the eurozone, nothing changes strategically after today's report. A huge amount of work lies ahead. Especially next year, then Bulgarians should feel the benefits of the eurozone", Borisov said, quoted by dariknews.bg.
He also commented on the protest against the euro, which blocked the center of Sofia.

"Protests are a democratic means, everyone has a right", Borisov said.

The GERB leader described as "humiliating" when the Council in Brussels ends, the chairman says "only the countries in the eurozone should remain". "That's where they make decisions, right now what they are protesting is for Bulgaria not to be there. That's where I want to take you, I don't understand my colleagues from the PP who are talking about a vote of no confidence," Borisov also said. According to him, the next year and a half is no less important.

He came up with new criticisms of the PP-DB and asked what the vote of no confidence would be about. "Kiril Petkov must explain to his people why this government must fall. I made a lot of compromises with him, even for the sake of the eurozone," he added.
