Why did there come to a new sharp clash between the government and the presidency after the positive reports on the euro? The topic was commented on in the studio of “Hello, Bulgaria” by journalist Silvia Velikova and political analyst Kristian Shkvarek.
“I find that there is logic in what Rumen Radev said, that it is already too late to chase prices. In fact, what is happening is that perhaps from January 1 there will be no sharp increase in prices, because they will have already increased so much that there will be no where to go”, Velikova believes.
Shkvarek, for his part, expressed his opinion from the point of view of history.
„In history textbooks it will be written that in 2025 there was a division regarding the euro. In the political world, this is expressed through parties that are „for” the euro and the opposition. Those who support it have clear positions. Those who are against it, too. What historians will find difficult to describe is what „We Continue the Change” is doing in the middle of these two camps with the vote of no confidence they demand. They will find it difficult to describe this schizophrenia, in which your main goal is the country's entry into the eurozone, but together with the opposition you want the cabinet to fall. The Eurozone will not be an irreversible process by December 31, especially if there is a potential for the government to fall. In early elections, I bet my head that the president will form a party and may even win”, he claims.
This opinion is also shared by Velikova, who explained that it is indeed very likely that Rumen Radev will leave the Presidency and create a political project.
