The data of the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs (SDVR) unequivocally indicate that within the framework of its legal powers, the police successfully counteract crimes committed by minors and juveniles, and active prevention with regard to the so-called locales after the measures taken by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is already a fact.
This was written on "Facebook" Minister of Internal Affairs Daniel Mitov, according to whom, in order to permanently overcome the problem of "locals", the active commitment of both parents and families, as well as competent institutions from the educational and social spheres is necessary.

He gives an example of a case reported to him today by the Director of the Directorate of Internal Affairs, Chief Commissioner Lyubomir Nikolov, which, according to the minister, clearly shows that the forces of the directorate are fully mobilized and are already leading successful prevention against crimes committed by minors and underage persons or the so-called. locales.
On June 16, police officers from the "Metropolitan" sector and the Seventh District Administration (RD) in the capital prevented a beating in the metro. The same day, at around 5:30 p.m., the Seventh District Administration received a report from a 51-year-old woman from the “Druzhba“ residential area. She stated that around noon her 15-year-old son was threatened with beating in the metro by unknown boys and girls who tried to take away his sneakers and T-shirt worth over 500 leva. The boy managed to report it via the emergency button to the driver of the train, who notified the police.
Police officers from the “Metropolitan“ sector – SDVR responded to the report and met the boy at the “Mladost 1” metro station. The injured minor pointed out to them his attackers, also minors – a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, both known to the Ministry of Interior.
A decree has been drawn up in the case under Art. 198, para. 1 of the 17-year-old boy, who was detained with a detention measure for up to 24 hours, and after a report to the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office the measure was extended to 48 hours. The Minister of Interior added that the ordered specialized operation to prevent and actively counteract crimes committed by minors and minors continues in Sofia. For the period from May 28 to June 15, 3,120 people were checked, of which 1,693 were minors. 418 people were found guilty of criminal offenses, 24 were detained. 37 prohibited items and objects were found. 22 acts of administrative violation were drawn up, as well as 21 protocols under Art. 65 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Act (for warnings - editor's note).
