A 57-year-old cyclist has died after being hit by a car on the bike path between Kazanlak and the village of Enina last night. The incident occurred after the 31-year-old woman driving the car lost control of it, Nova TV reported.
A second cyclist was also injured in the accident - a 36-year-old man who has a laceration-contusion wound, but has been released for home treatment, with no life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the car - 34 years old - also received minor bruises and was examined. The driver has been admitted to the hospital in Kazanlak for observation, with no life-threatening injuries.
The driver's tests for alcohol and drugs are negative. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor's Office.
The accident occurred on a section with a slight bend and a speed limit. According to local residents, this is a road with a high concentration of road accidents.
