Funds have been provided that will guarantee the operation of the newly built social and integrated health and social services for residential care, as well as the services in the buildings renovated under it, with funds under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). This became possible after the Monitoring Committee of the Human Resources Development Program (HRDP) approved the measure "Long-term care services" with a budget of 367 million leva, which will be in effect until 2029.

The measure provides the necessary funding for the functioning of residential services for the elderly and people with disabilities and for the supporting specialized social services in the community. Eligible candidates under it will be all municipalities, including those implementing projects to create new services, to reform homes for the elderly and to build and equip social infrastructure for services included in the National Map of Social Services.

The funds will be used to purchase additional equipment and furnishings for services, as well as to implement activities at the local level, supporting the acceptance of deinstitutionalization and the creation of residential services for people removed from institutions. Specialized training and supervision will be provided for employees of providers of social and integrated health and social services and for those working in residential services. It is expected that 3,630 elderly people and people with disabilities will improve their living conditions.

With over 62 million leva Support will also be provided to healthcare professionals after the HRD Monitoring Committee approved two new operations and changed the budget and duration of an existing measure.

Over 1,800 specialists in the Emergency Medical Care Centers will be included in training for responding to specific emergency situations, applying the most modern training technologies through virtual reality and remote access.

Modern training conditions will be provided for employees in the Regional Health Inspectorates (RHI), including the creation of an electronic platform for their conduct. Over 890 employees in RHI will be trained.

With a change in the budget of the measure “Specialization in Healthcare +“, financial support will be provided for the specialization period for another 110 specialists in specialties in which there is an established shortage of specialists on the territory of the country or in certain areas of healthcare.
