Manol Genov: It is not entirely clear what they are looking for on the Shumen Plateau, hopefully it gets hungry and goes to the baits - 1

It cannot be determined exactly what kind of predator is being sought on the Shumen Plateau. We are counting on it getting hungry so that it can go to the baits placed, to anesthetize it and move it to a zoo.

This was said by the Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov in “Offensive to NOVA NEWS.

“A washing machine is 55 kg. At the prices of the Environmental Protection Agency, the recycling fee will be 49.05 leva. A tablet with a price of 380 leva. the fee is 0.98 leva. Here, the ministry controls the process of recycling secondary products obtained from the appliance itself. The purpose of the fee is the principle of extended responsibility.

Persons who pay a product fee can be exempted from this commitment. There are two options - either to participate in a recycling organization, or to become individualists - to engage in creating an independent recycling system, to collect end-of-life products and process them at their own expense,” explained the minister.

Stoves, washing machines and refrigerators are becoming more expensive due to a jump in recycling fees

He indicated that the ministry has an idea to introduce a product fee into the invoice of each manufacturer. According to him, Bulgaria has the lowest product fees in the EU after Romania.

Genov said that in all countries the car fleet is being renewed, and such is the trend in Bulgaria. He emphasized that old cars are taxed with higher ecotaxes, which is an incentive to buy newer cars and electric cars.

The minister said that the Ministry of Environment and Water requires the operators of the installations to prepare reports on greenhouse gas emissions. This is a requirement of the European Union. He pointed out that the Ministry of Environment and Water accepts reports from bodies that verify annual reports.

„What do we do? We check whether the annual data presented in the verified reports are in accordance with the requirements regarding the issued permit for working with greenhouse gases. If we find a discrepancy, we take the appropriate measures. The Executive Agency requires samples from each batch of fuel”, Genov also said.

He pointed out that the inspection in the case of the investigation of the “Anti-Corruption Fund” continues.

The operator of the deposit system for collecting packaging should be state-owned - this is the idea of the ministry, said Genov.

The minister said that the year is dry in terms of precipitation, so the release of water from the dams is being strictly monitored.
