For what is left of the political party "We continue the change", the facts indicate that the replacement is already continuing there. This was said in the studio of "The Day Begins" Dimitar Shalafov, an independent municipal councilor, SOS.
The mayors of the capital's districts "Mladost" and "Lyulin", the district coordinator of "Vitosha" and 23 MIR on Monday announced that they were leaving "We Continue the Change" due to systematic pressure from the party leadership to manipulate public procurement, percentages and redirect funds to the party treasury.
"On Monday after the press conference, I gave my testimony to the relevant authorities and am currently bound by investigative secrecy not to disclose details of the investigation. I can say that I have directly received the data and information from the district mayors that they were told about percentages, specific numbers, specific people, etc.", Shalafov also said.
In his words, on him, as well as on those who left the party Ivaylo Kukurin - mayor of "Mladost", Georgi Todorov - mayor of "Lyulin" and municipal councilor Dragomir Dragomirov is currently under "terrible pressure".
"Neither I nor my colleagues are worried about anything. I feel calm and have no worries about what will happen, because terrible scum is currently being poured on the four of us, there is terrible pressure, on the other hand, my former colleagues - the executive council, the leadership are silent, they are not saying anything. The only thing that is happening is that our personalities are currently subject to all kinds of pressure and smearing.
Earlier this morning, my colleague Georgi Todorov, district mayor of "Lyulin", came out with a post on Facebook, in which he refuted the official position of the two colliders that the party's executive council or its members have never been notified of corruption. In fact, what the colleague wrote is that he personally had conversations with members of the executive council, in which he informed them of specific things with a specific person, but unfortunately, the individuals in question from the executive council did not fulfill the request for zero tolerance for corruption. In this sense, he even had remarks such as raising a yellow card for the person in question, for whom there was evidence of committing illegal acts, and requesting that he be given a second chance, so that he could continue to perform the position to which he was currently appointed."
Shalfov explained a scheme in which, despite the reports filed against a person for illegal activity, he was repeatedly proposed to the municipal council to be appointed to the board of the Fifth City Hospital.
"I want to tell a story that gives perspective to what we are talking about. The argument that we have never notified the authorities, we have been silent and now suddenly out of nowhere - shock and a bomb, a coordinated attack against the PP and the party is being taken over is not true. There is hardly a member of "Continue the Change" who has not listened to Kiril Petkov's parable about the little secrets at least 10 times. This is a story in which the budding members were told how one day someone would come to us who would be sent from behind the scenes, by evil forces, would be close to us, would try to corrupt us in some way, would start with something small, would ask for a small favor, to close our eyes to something small, respectively, when we do it, it is as if we are almost giving this person our ID card, he puts it in his pocket and from then on the requests for bigger things become free and we, you see, have sold ourselves for small pennies and become puppets. I would like to ask those members of the executive council who were present at this conversation with the district mayor of "Lyulin" to say what they took out of their pockets during this conversation - a yellow card or an ID card and whose it was.
The person in question, who was reported to the people from the executive council that he had done something wrong, was subsequently offered to us, our colleagues from the municipal council, this person a month or two later, several times to be included in the board of the largest municipal hospital in Sofia - Fifth City Hospital. The person in question held a position in the "Lyulin" district.
The municipal councilor believes that the schemes reach "the highest levels in the party - people from the executive council, apparently there are also people from the municipal administration."
He emphasized that the disclosure of the corrupt practice is not a coordinated attack against "We continue the change".
"I want to reassure all colleagues that we will not be filming in any offices, this is not being done in a coordinated manner, it has nothing to do with behind the scenes."
