The departure of "Save Sofia" should have been a sign that there are problems in "Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) in the Municipality of Sofia (MO). I see that the colleagues from PP-DB are trying in every way to "cover up" the situation, but it is very serious.
This was stated on the show "The Day Live" on NOVA NEWS municipal councilor from GERB-SDS Anton Hekimyan, who commented on the situation in the SO.
"We from GERB-SDS are very worried that the image of the SO could be destroyed. At the moment, we see that Vasil Terziev is only trying to maintain this image with words, but there are no deeds. We are standing extremely stable because we have the experience and we know how the SO should work. The mayor must prove that he is not a straw man and that his work is not being interfered with. It is time for Terziev to sit down and give his program for governing the city. He must also create a team, because there are no more deputy mayors", added Hekimyan.
"The processes in the SO have started to surface like dirty foam. Apparently, something is happening behind the scenes in the PP. I have no idea what it is. We do not want to interfere in the problems of foreign parties. What is important is what the investigation will show - is there corruption and to what extent it was. The garbage plant has always been subject to constant inspections, which have not proven any violations. It is strange for Terziev to talk about irregularities at the garbage plant. He is the man who created the largest landfill in Sofia Field. Let him file a report with the European Prosecutor's Office, but let him say what he thinks about his deputy mayor, who was responsible for EU funds. For me, this is a clumsy attempt to cover up the scandal in Sofia. Let him stop with the crisis PR and start working. If it were not for the GERB-SDF group, Sofia would not have a budget yet. Terziev must also stop the war with the capital's transport system," concluded Anton Hekimyan.
