"Velichie" has introduced a vote of no confidence on the topic of "Ecology". The vote is expected to take place next week, announced the leader of "Velichie" Ivelin Mihaylov on the sidelines of the parliament.
This happened during the debates before the third vote of no confidence against the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov - on the topic of fiscal policy, introduced by "Vazrazhdane" and supported by MECH and "Velichie".
"We introduced the vote because of the failure to deal with the ecological catastrophe in Bulgaria. God forbid it should be considered, because the current one has succeeded. "Velichie" will gladly leave politics if normal living conditions are created. The vote of no confidence was created because of the cabinet's failure to deal with environmental policy - in 40-degree heat, imagine how 60,000 landfills are smeared and bubbling. All this misery goes into the atmosphere. The government clearly does not know how to solve the problem, and this makes it incompetent. However, a group of 10 people does. MECH and "Vazrazhdane" signed our vote of no confidence, PP-DB did not," argued Mihaylov.
We recall that on June 27, "Vazrazhdane” submitted the third vote against the cabinet, citing the failure of fiscal policy and the eurozone. It is supported by "Velichie" and MECH. The only other parliamentary group outside the government - PP-DB, stated that it would support a vote of no confidence after July 8 - the date on which Europe's final opinion on the country's entry into the eurozone is expected.
Previous votes of no confidence against the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet
On April 3, the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov survived the first vote of no confidence. It was submitted again by "Vazrazhdane" and supported by the deputies from "Velichye" and MECH. The motive was the government's systematic failure in foreign policy. Only 54 MPs voted "for", and 150 were "against".
On April 17, the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet survived the second vote of no confidence. Its submitters were the MECH, "Vazrazhdane" and "Velichye" parties, and the main motive was corruption. 202 MPs took part in the first vote. Of these, 71 voted "for" and 131 voted "against". A re-vote was also held at the request of Hayrie Sadakov. 202 MPs took part in it, with 72 voting "for" the proposal and 130 voting "against". After the holidays, the opposition is preparing a third vote of no confidence.
