"The scandal surrounding "We continue the change" comes at a very bad time for the party". This was stated to bTV by the sociologist from "Trend" Dimitar Ganev.
According to him, since the cabinet was formed, "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" has been neither in power nor in opposition, and was waiting for July 8 to return the opposition, which is advantageous for them.
"Currently, the fault line is different - for and against the euro, in which they are in the ruling camp. For them, the advantageous position is for the debate to be corruption - anti-corruption. Now with what legitimacy can they start on the topic of corruption? ", pointed out Ganev.
Boryana Dimitrova from "Alpha Research" believes that the right of the formation to raise these questions has not been completely taken away after what happened. "This makes it easier, does not make their positions serious and backed up enough", she nevertheless pointed out.
According to her, in the current situation, what "Democratic Bulgaria" will do is key and she will monitor their behavior in the coming months.
Regarding the votes of no confidence, Dimitar Ganev said that they are a service to the ruling party, as they show the weakness of the opposition. Boryana Dimitrova believes that due to the important national priority - accession to the eurozone, the position of "Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria" is legitimate not to participate in the votes.
In early parliamentary elections, Ganev believes that it is possible for Rumen Radev's party to appear. From this point of view, the ruling majority has no interest in a new vote. According to Boryana Dimitrova, there are no prerequisites for such a vote.
Dimitrova emphasized that Vice President Iliana Yotova is already taking a more active part and may be warming up for presidential elections. As an example, she gave her words regarding the government's dependence on Delyan Peevski.
