Plovdiv municipal councilor Nikolay Gyurov left "We continue the change", but remains in the local parliament as an independent councilor. He announced this himself. Gyurov indicated that the decision was made after long consideration, and his motive was that he could not be part of something he no longer believed in, BNR revealed.
Furthermore, according to him, the party is becoming exactly what he is fighting against. In his position, Gyurov emphasizes that he does not accept the local government being used for party purposes in Sofia. He added that he waited for the corruption scandal with "We continue the change" staff in Sofia to subside before announcing his decision.
Nikolay Gyurov was among the main figures of the party in Plovdiv. He is a former regional coordinator of "We Continue the Change", chairman of the PP-DB group in the Municipal Council, member of the party's National Council and organizer of parliamentary, local and European election campaigns.
