The case for the death of Siyana and the serious bodily injury of her grandfather after the accident near Telish begins in the Pleven District Court, BNT reports.
Siyana's father Nikolay Popov wrote on social networks that he hopes for a fair and quick trial, because in his words this is a measure against impunity. If the perpetrator pleads guilty, the case could end today.
In the serious accident on March 31, the car with Siyana and her grandfather collided with a heavy truck. The 12-year-old girl died on the spot, while her grandfather was seriously injured.
Inappropriate speed is one of the main reasons for the accident. People are expected to gather in front of the court demanding a fair verdict.
