GERB is the party that did a lot for Bulgaria to be in the eurozone. What happened yesterday is thanks to the fact that there is political stability in the country and there is a government. In order for there to be a government in Bulgaria, we overcame our narrow party interests, we made enough concessions and compromises, the biggest of which is that the leader of our party did not become prime minister so that there could be a government. This was commented on in the studio of "The Day Begins" on BNT by the deputy chairwoman of the GERB parliamentary group Denitsa Sacheva.
"I believe that this is a success that we had to report to our voters and sympathizers and to all people, thanks to their support. This is a success of the GERB party and all those in power. We also expressed our gratitude to the parties with which we govern together, including BSP and "There is such a people" and also to "DPS - New Beginning", thanks to which Bulgaria has a budget and thanks to whose support, which has always been consistent with regard to the eurozone, the necessary legal measures and mechanisms were adopted to make this happen yesterday," Sacheva emphasized.
When asked how they would thank Delyan Peevski and "DPS - New Beginning" for their support, Sacheva answered as follows:
"This is not about some kind of deal or some kind of gratitude that we are yet to return. This is about adequate, objective and dignified accounting of the contribution of all who participated in this success. "DPS - New Beginning" and Delyan Peevski personally supported the budget. They have supported all the laws related to our admission to the eurozone and support everything related to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan."
In her words, there are national goals that must be achieved, which are related to Bulgaria having a better standard of living, having better opportunities for development:
"These national goals require the potential of every member of parliament, who is legally and legitimately elected by their voters. It cannot be governed by sympathy or antipathy. What "We Continue the Change" does to claim to support the eurozone, but in practice to do everything possible to sabotage the eurozone and to boast about having contributed, because Assen Vassilev has made several budgets with a deficit that he has never implemented, but all his budgets have always been with a deficit - this is unworthy."
Denitsa Sacheva also said that they are not running away from responsibility and that there should be a government in Bulgaria - it is better to have a government, and the worst government is better than one that stops elections.
