The report on the disastrous for Bulgarian energy contract with "Botas" was submitted to the prosecutor's office in April 2024. Since then, nothing. I was the only one, as a deputy in the 50th National Assembly, making statements, interviews, parliamentary questions, control. Dozens of Turkish media outlets covered me. Last September, I managed to find out that "Bulgargaz" could not pay the invoices of the Turkish company, which means that it is heading for bankruptcy. Kaloyan Metodiev recalled this on Facebook and added:
Institutions and parties were silent. The arrogant Malinov was hiding from parliamentary control and violating the Constitution. The Zhelyazkov government appointed the entire team under the contract with "Botash" to civil service positions. They are currently in government! Until the blatant self-forgetfulness of the acting Minister of Energy, Rosen Hristov, with the convertible with the mannequins. This blew up public opinion and angered absolutely everyone - with ostentation, arrogance, a demonstration of complex luxury. The useful idiot in the "Botash" case is clear. The guarantor, the organizer and the connected business people around him are the important ones. This organized crime group, mainly associated with the BSP, ABV and GERB, should bear responsibility for the bankruptcy of our gas sector. Responsibility for over a million leva every morning for nothing (from the pocket of every Bulgarian citizen), for 4 billion for nothing, for a contract without a "termination" clause. And hopefully today's action will not be just a smokescreen or an order, but will lead to real responsibility for betraying the national interest and murdering the Bulgarian energy sector."
