At the 360th kilometer of the "Hemus" highway in the emergency lane, in the direction of Sofia, a car is on fire, the police in Shumen reported. At the same time, two cars crashed in the other lane, who either looked at the fire or lost visibility because of the smoke carried by the wind, tvshumen.bg reported.
An eyewitness who stopped to help said that the traffic accident occurred because of the smoke and the fact that the burning car distracted the drivers of the crashed cars.
People were injured in the incident.
The police press center reported that both lanes of the highway are closed, the bypass route is on road I-2 (the old road to Varna).
